bricked my 8520

hello there, i think ive just permanently just bricked my phone. i dowloaded latest os, the that done its thing. i then stumbled upon bbsak. and for some dumb reason i wiped my phone.

now im trying to reload an os i cant find application loader anywhere. its not in the research in motion file. i cant find it anywhere to download online either..

S.O.S please help.

ok thanks. ive got to "choose the applications that are to be installed" but i cant find bb os software to load up

Your OS should be listed on there. If you downloaded, installed the OS .exe file and rebooted the pc/laptop,
remove vendors.xml's if needed it will most likely pick the OS up.

nah nothings come up. i download v5.0.0.1805 pressed all the buttons etc. ive rebooted. where would it have saved on pc.?

You sure you unpacked and installed the .exe OS file on your pc/laptop first?

cant say im sure. it was a bit slow. then i started messing with bbsak. is the phone for the bin?

the new os file is only in downloads, and i didnt backup any copies before wiping with bbsak

install the os(the exe in the downloads folder). follow the steps from the tutorial (make sure to remove the vendor.xml file) and all should be well. the loader is in c:/program file/common files/research in motion/apploader and the os installs to c;/program files/common files/research in motion/shared/loader files

thanks mate, the os is there were you say. but application loader says "the blackberry desktop software does not have the blackberry device software that you have connected to your computer"

it an 8520 curve maybe any more ideaS?

EDIT... where is the vedor file?

First of all Mr. IHaveNukedMy8520 read carefully.
*go to the os file u just downloaded (it shoult be an exe file)
*install it on ur pc. Yes, on ur PC first.
*then launch bb desktop manager.
*try upgrading then.

Ps: u may have to delete to vendor.xml file from ur *PC* first. Just look at the replies posted here from where to find and delete it.

iv'e tried doing it through bb desktop. its goes through downloading removing updating etc. gets to the end and an error message comes up

"application loader was unable to connect with your device"

phones about the get literally bricked now lol.
