Blackberry seems locked

Please help me. My curve 8520 seems as if it is locked or frozen. I downloaded a Xmas app last night, all working well, have not been able to do anything with it today at all!! The lovely xmas picture is there and moving but cant navigate, it wont ring when I call it wont do anything. Have pulled the battery more times than I care to mention have reset it with ctr, alt, del. Have also downloaded balckberry desktpo and it is connected through the blackberry device manager but has been sitting at initializing device for an hour and this is the 3rd time I have tried it. Please someone help me as I need it for work tomoro!!!:

The exact same this has happened to me! I've tried everything, and nothing is working Also, I downloaded a christmas app as well, is it a theme with falling snow? With mine, nothing is working, the time is stuck on 00:01, and the only thing that moves is the snow (which still falls!) and the battery charges when it's plugged into the charger. Really need help!!

Hey, just to let you know, I wrked how to fix it. If you reboot it, and when it is rebooting, hold down the back or escape button (on my phone it is on the right of the trackpad, and a little arrow doubling back on itself) then it will load up into a safe mode or something. Go find the app, delete it and then reboot it again. Boom, done.
