Blackberry Curve 8520 LED

Hi, When I first got my blackberry I had an app named Colour ID which made my LED blue whenever I received a BBM from anyone. I got bored of it and kept it on default red. All of a sudden the timing has changed. The light used to be on for 1-2 seconds and then go off and repeat (red) Now it goes on and off in a flash in under half a second and does not repeat (I think). How do I fix the time for the LED? I was going to try Colour ID again but now it has an update which lets you specify each BBM contact, I don't want a separate light for each contact I want a light for all of BBM (Red is fine)

I don't want to pay either but if I have to I will.
