Blackberry 8530 Battery Issues
Ok so I've been reading around here that some people have problems with the 8530 battery life. So am I, but here is the thing.
I now find myself living abroad, but just a couple of hours away from the closest US border, anyway, I do not use a US carrier anymore, but I brought myself here a 8530 Verizon CMDA cellphone, so I turned my BB into a mexican carrier with BIS and everything. The actual battery that the phone came with was no good at all, even with everything turned off it will run out in 2 hours so I put my 9300 3G battery in (with everything off) before I unlocked it (or flashed it whatever) and the cellphone could be on for like 6 days, no usage obviously, so that battery is fine.
Now, as soon as I got my cellphone back from the mexican carrier last friday, I started noticing how the battery ran off faster like if my battery was defective or something, but anyways my cellphone was not configured right so after I don't know what, I disconfigured the phone and the battery was fine again, now that I went yesterday to get it configured again, now with BIS, the battery issue came on again.
The cellphone itself it's not showing like if I was getting data from my carrier but from Verizon, but I'm not, there's no posible reason I could be getting data from them. Now my battery just ran off completely and I'm having troubles turning on the phone. While the phone is on I don't have any problem at ALL, everything works perfect, EVERYTHING. So any wonders what this could be? Should I treat right now my BB as a nuked blackberry?
***EDIT***
Well, I just got it on but I know this will be happening again, so, is like my phone trying to reach Verizon ?
I got the right PRL for my phone oh and and sometimes the bars next to the 3G, sometimes they are like 2 on then 4 on then 1 on and like that, like if it was having trouble reaching for signal, could this be it ?
