    Default Blackberry 8520 Restore

I was wondering if it is possible to restore all settings to default, as if the blackberry had just be opened.

I've tried looking and the best I can do is erase the memory card.

Sorry if this question has already been answered.

    Thanks

Options > Security Options > General Settings > Menu > Wipe Handheld

    Good luck with the return/sale

    Try re-registering the device...

Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register Now

Once you receive the message confirming your device is registered, do a battery pull and try the email settings again.

The option for personal email setup should be there now.

    Thanks man

I've done as you said, just waiting for the message now, hopefully it wont take too long!

By battery pull, I'm guessing you literally mean just pull out the battery?

Yep, with the phone switched on just pull the battery out, wait a few seconds then put it back and wait for the phone to reboot.

Or you could do it the quick way... press the bottom left alt key, bottom right shift key, and the delete key, in that order keeping all 3 keys depressed at once.

A battery pull usually cures all your bb problems.

If in doubt... pull it out

It can take upto 24 hours to register your phone on the BlackBerry server if it's new.

Try a battery pull anyway and see if that does the trick.

No problem, I have another few questions, do you mind me messaging you rather than keeping this thread open?

Yes, you will need a BlackBerry data plan for email, and ideally an unlimited data plan for internet use.

If you don't have the BB data plan, then ignore the above as you won't be able to setup/use email.
