Black blackberry screen
Hi,
Last week I was using my black berry and it was being unusally slow and then it froze. As that tends to happen, I just decided to do a battery pull. Although this time for some reason after I did that my phone wouldnt switch on.
I then tried to charge it and the red light would flash a few times and then die. It still wouldnt turn on. I then tried to charge it without the battery in the device. I managed to turn the phone on, however it was still very much frozen. Nothing would work. I tried to ring my phone when it was in this state- and the phone would ring but I couldnt answer it.
I let it be for a few days and tried to reset the phone via the apploader command prompt
But for some reason that didnt work. I let it be for a few days. Then i tried to charge the phone and it now "seems" to be on. The reason I say "seems" is because the green led light is flashing and my daily alarm rang in the morning. However the screen is totally BLACK! I cant see a thing.
I haven't got the phone wet, its been in doors all this time. And I dont have a warantee. Any suggestions would be really appreciated... - 03-09-2010, 12:56 PM #2
You could always reload the OS on it. There is a thread on here on how to do that. Just do a search about bricked blackberry and you'll find alot of help. Good luck! My old 8330 bricked, and this site saved my life!
