Hi, I'm pretty new to this O.S. thing so please bear with me. Currently, I have the factory issued OS on my 8520 curve and I was thinking about doing my very first update to one of the more current OS to give it a new look (yay! ). I have been reading through the forums about the few latest OS release/leaks for the 8520. I went through the threads on .509 and .592 (not even touching the .554 due to this buggy app switcher ), but I'm undecided of which is better regarding lesser bug, better radio and battery. Could you guys give me some pointers of what you think regarding these two OS? Any replies would be alot of help!

Trackpad issue is still there for 554 +592 builds on my 8520. So download 509. If you want you can download 554 too and put the 509 radio (grs) file in place of 554 one. My computerrograms:common files:rim in motion:shared files:loader files. Don't forget to delete the vendor file!

I think that's is kind of too complicated for me. Probably later on when I'm more experience with this install new OS ordeal . Exactly what is this trackpad issue everyone is talking about? I think I read something about the trackpad not reading your finger when you scrolls. But I'm not sure if it's the same thing as the app switcher bug that ppl mentioned about .554. I think I will probably just try out the .509 tomorrow and see what happens. Thank for the prompt reply!!!
