BBC iPlayer on 8520?
Hi there, I was just wondering whether it is possible to download and watch shows off BBC iPlayer on my BB Curve 8520? I've used iPlayer on my iPod Touch several times and find it really handy, however the obvious problem with that is that it needs to be connected via Wi-Fi which limits it's convenience. I've heard others talking about watching iPlayer on their BBs but I understand that the 8520 is an "entry level" device, so I'm unsure whether it has the capabilities. Thanks!

Sorry but you cant get iPlayer on Blackberry 8520! Only for: BlackBerry Bold 2 (9700)
BlackBerry Storm 2 (9520/9550) Just checked on the iPlayer website, again dont think its going to be compatible anytime soon anyway

iplayer does work on my 8520
Thought you would like to know that I have got the BBC iplayer to work on my 8520. It also works on my wife and my daughters 8520's. It took a while to work out, but you need to set your browser to Hotspot Browser (not the default Internet Browser). You can do this when you set up a bookmark for the BBC iplayer. At the moment, I have only tried it on Wi-Fi - dont think it would be much good on a slower connection. Hope that helps!!
