BB showing signs of water damage but indicator is white.
Hey, guys.
I have a BB Curve 8530. A couple weeks ago my phone got very sweaty and soon after the keyboard stopped working and the trackpad stopped clicking, but it would scroll. All it will ever type are the keys 'U' and 'O' randomly.
I'm aware these are classic signs of BB water damage, but the water damage indicator is white. Also, I did a million battery pulls. A few times I could get it to work, but no more than five minutes before the keyboard would go back out and the pad would stop clicking.
Last week, though, I had completely given up on my BB so I left it in my car for around three days. I decided to give my beloved phone one last chance so I brought it in and charged it (it was completely dead). I tried to cut it on and, lo and behold, it worked! Not only did it work, but it worked for almost two full days before it stopped working again.
I'm at a loss. Due to plan circumstances I can not go get another BB. If my phone doesn't begin working then I'm off to a prepaid flip phone.
Someone help! I love my BB.

there is more than 1 indicator on the device, the one in the by the battery can show white, but the one under the front housing could be read.
I would remove the battery, and completely submerge the phone in rubbing alcohol for 5 seconds (YES I SAID FULLY SUBMERGE)
After that, put it in the car, or in direct sunlight for 2-3 days.
The alcohol will clean the boards, and full dissolve, usually taking with it, any moisture problems.
And next time your phone gets sweaty, throw it a towel
BIG UP BIG UP, ITS A STICK UP STICK UP
I may be blunt, but it was the only way you would understand! @Fubaz
