Default BB 8530 Battery problem.

I bought a 8530 second handed.

It charged fine and charged fully but the battery only lasts for few hours (literally, just like an hour..)

And the machine just shuts off suddenly and I can't turn it back on.

Like the battery was 80% when it shut off... and whenever i tried to turn it back on,

It would have a red light for like 10 seconds, and an hourglass turning and go back to redlight and hourglass again and it won't turn back on.

and when i charge it and turn it back on, the battery is at like 10%..

If this is a battery problem, i could just get another for cheap price, but if this is a device problem, please let me know what to do.

It's a common problem with the 8530 itself.
I mean you could try to get a new battery, then if it doesn't work, return the battery but you'll probably need to get a new device.

It may be the battery, or the OS you have on your phone. Mine goes all day w/out needing to charge. I would try a new battery first, and if that doesn't do it, update your OS.

I have exactly this same issue! Its very frustrating when Im in the middle of a conversation texting or talking I am currently trying to re-load the "nuked" bb and am having issues being stuck. Should I just go get a new phone?
