8530 wireless Update problem, semi working..

ok, so my wife decided to do a wireless update..all seemed fine but in the back of my head i was dreadin the 'Freeze'.. first stages went thru fine and THEN it got stuck.. so we pulled battery a bunch of times, returned back to same spot it would get stuck on...i really didnt wanna do a restore because i hadnt backed up her phone..long story short..i pulled the battery out before bed, popped it back in this morning at 6 am..went back to bed..i woke up at 730 saw the red message light blinking, hit the track pad, phone said 'Update successful'...we were super happy..did the language thing and setup...ok, heres the dilema...she NOW calls me, phone is worse than ever, and it keeps freezing at the home page..that her background pic isnt even showing up..this morning it seemed normal.. i told her to pull the battery for 15 minutes and reinstall and leave the phone alone for like an hour..ANY ideas what i can try besides that?... btw, she had told me she did 3 battery pulls already..this was at 8 am.... thanks in advance

I recommend Downloading the Latest OS for her BlackBerry Model and upgrade using This Procedure

Wireless updates are not that good-IMO. Perople who have upgraded wirelessly have had problems afterwards, specially because the phone usually gets stuck while updating.

Upgrading the device using the procedure given the link to is Highly Recommended
