Default 8520 curve - calendar tips

    Hello everyone.

I got my bb curve 8520 and im loving it beside one thing..the calendar.

Doesnt the default calendar have a birthday tag? cause if i add an event and it is a birthday the next year it wont be there because the bb assumes it is an event for that day and not a thing to remind me for ever. Maybe im not looking right.

The second thing is, if something is happening, for example today, is there anyway to place a reminder on the desktop saying i have that to do today? I have always had nokia devices and they had this option that i think it is great, it always showed on the screen my to do stuff and had no need to open my calendar every day to check for things.

Thank you very much for your time!

When you make the birthday event make sure to select 'yearly' under the Recurrence section.

I don't think there's a native feature that does this for the calendar. There are free or paid themes that have the option to display, and hide, your calendar's sched in the home screen though. Not sure about third party apps that does this.
