8520 - Constantly receiving white screens, rebooting doesn't work. Please help!!

So as I stated in the title, my blackberry is always getting white screens and rebooting has no effect on it but drain the battery. The only way to stop the white screen is if I connect my phone to the charger, then the phone reboots no problem -_-"

This usually happens when I'm running apps for too long or when I'm switching through apps too fast. Does this have to do with my OS/apps/memory/..etc? Is there any other way to reboot my phone without plugging in the charger?

I have OS 5 if that makes any difference in my situation.

Have you tried a new battery?
