Users of our 8520 blackberry models often lose their signal when they are in an area with weak signal strengths. They then find that the Blackberry goes to SOS mode and it dosent reconnect back to the network. They have to then manually go to the network settings and turn off and turn on the network option for the Blackberry to discover the vendor again. This is not happening in the latter models.

I tried switching the network selection mode to manual but it did not have any improvements
The models is a Blackberry 8520 Smartphone (EDGE, WIFI) v5.0.0..1036 ( Bundle 1682, Platform 5.2.0.104).

Could someone please help ?

I think that the carrier is responsible for this problem.. maybe switching to another carrier will solve this..
