Just checked my wife's 8530 and it doesn't show an update. Also checked the VZW site.

I see .973 is available for the Storm 2. Maybe your BB is striving to be touchscreen?

Maybe Verizon accidentally send it to your device.
now maybe your right. but i think for some people to say "its fake" or "its bs" is going for a long shot. because i dont see how people would honestly take time out of their life to make a fake OS shot.

I just checked my wireless update and the .973 upgrade was there. Downloading now! =)

EDIT: When I try to get the update it says, "Update request failed. Try again later or update using Blackberry Desktop Manager on your computer."

If it's just now hitting people's phones the server might be busy. I hope someone can get a .EXE up for download.

Do the set up wizard. Check your app/add on memory. Delete. Delete. Delete. Yank the battery.

Just installed .973 on my 8530 for Verizon. My phone is smoother than it was with .734, but the signal strength is usually a full bar less after upgrading =[. Just a heads up.
