I like to use everyday pictures as my wallpaper (e.g. picture of my young daughter or team football logo, etc.).

With my new 8530 I took one of my saved pictures and saved it as wallpaper, but I can't get rid of the previous theme's upper and lower "borders". They are darker than the middle of the screen (which contains my picture) and the two borders and the clock block out the face of my picture.

I used to be able to move the clock around on another phone I used to have (non-BB) but I can't find anyway to move the clock out of the way or eliminate the two borders which are blocking my picture.

    Anyone please?

    Thanks

The borders are theme built. If you choose to customize your theme - you can remove those darker lines and such.

You can set them as 100% translucent/transparent using the Theme Studio.

    thanks to both replies

I will see if that helps

How about being able to move the date/time to different locations?

    thanks again!

You should be able to do that with Theme Studio as well.
