    I'm trying to back up my blackberry curve and have got myself in a mess! Having downloaded desktop manager and connected my phone I tried to type in my phone password and it wouldn't take it. When disconnected from the PC the phone is now asking for a password after typing "blackberry". Does it want my device password or keypad password? If it is the keypad password (which is numeric) how do I enter it on my phone? Having researched on line I am now totally confused. Please help!!

    Jeez, man.. unplug the berry and unlock it.
    Now plug it, and look at the letter each number represents. Because on BBOS numeric passwords are not an option.
    Unless you use Alt, in which case it's still considered a normal password, but with numbers.

    For example, if 1 is A, 2 is B and 3 is C; and your password "is" 312, then the password on the PC would be CAB.

    Next time, be more careful.
