bbt's SLATE by bbt Designs | Berryfication Theme of the Week!

I finally got enough time to port my newest theme SLATE to the 83xx devices!

some things to note about the 83xx device versions:
**OS4.5 versions have 2 calendar items and 1 message items on the today**
**OS5 has 4 calendar items, 4 message items and 4 sms/mms items!**
**All versions for 83xx devices do not support banner backgrounds, I am trying to find a workaround for this but I'm not sure it is possible**
Meaning in applications the banner items (clock/date/signal etc) dont have a background, so your wallpaper shows through

SLATE has some pretty unique features I think you'll enjoy, and was entirely handcoded, so even with all the moving elements (like the today area) and icons on the homescreen, SLATE runs incredibly smooth.

some unique features:
8 icon sliding, hideable dock + 1 slot for weather next to the clock
customizable and wallpaper friendly
hide weather slot, dock, today area via shortcut keys
options panel that allows you to customize or hide banners (see navigation preview below)
available with os6 icons or custom icons (see screens)
no transitions
handcoded svg for optimal performance, no lag, just smooth

So here is SLATE!

There are 8 shortcuts on the homescreen (use the caps key for letters):

• N = BBM
• M = Messages
• $ = SMS/MMS
• L = Profiles
• @ = Connections
• Spacebar = Slot 10 in application list
• K = Calendar
• O = Options

And homescreen feature shortcuts

• * shows dock, # hides it
• Z shows weather icon, X hides it
• + shows options panel, # or * hides it
• G shows today area, H hides it (Calendar<-SWIPE->Messages<-SWIPE->SMS/MMS)

And SLATE comes in multiple versions, to fit your needs!

• Blacked out with original icons
• Normal with original icons
• Blacked out with OS6 icons
• Normal with OS6 icons

**please do a battery pull after installing a new theme!**

I have been so waiting for this theme!!!! I just downloaded it and am playing with it. Here's a few screens to show some of the custimization available....

All banners on without tint:

Of course there is a also a hidden today with calendar and messages and tons of shortcut keys. I really recommend all you theme junkies out there check out this theme. It's full of customization, but best of all it seems to run really smooth.
The only drawback I know of is when you do a battery pull the theme resets to all the original banners on. I don't know if its a plazmic bug or what, but it's doable for such an awesome theme!

yeah the customizations resetting when you reset the device is a limitation in theme builder, no way to workaround that unfortunately!

If you haven't already bought any of bbts themes, please don't hesitate. The themes are awesome and the support is even more incredible.
I had a problem with the slate theme and the communication was very open and the problem resolved very quickly!

I highly recommend bbt themes!!! You won't be sorry, all 3 are great themes!

I like this theme. I have both versions (original icons and os6 icons) and personally think that the original icons look better. Wheoever designed them is a genious. They are clear and easy to read!

I am curious if there is a way to change the wallpaper (which is the default) when I put my Storm2 in landscape mode. Thanks in advance.

i've been getting a lot of requests for this. unfortunately for the storm, RIM does not allow user definable wallpapers for some reason. Because of this, I have been offering to do custom versions (for a fee), you can email me at bbtdesigns@gmail.com and we can work out details if you would like.
