    What's up man...
I've been searching around today trying to find some themes for the 8350i, and can't really much of anything for o.s 4.6, although I've found plenty of things for 4.5.

I did try a 4.5 theme, downloaded it from my blackberry 8350i, and nothing... checked under themes and didn't see a damn thing. bummer.

I accidentally bought a theme for $6. The website said it was compatible with the 8350i. You live and learn...

I just really need a theme that displays calender events on the main screen.

I did the same thing today. It would have been nice if it would have told me it wasn't compatable before I paid. So do I assume from this that no themes will work yet?

i just found this site (after searching for the last 2 days) trying to find a theme for my new 8350i that had the Today feature. i can not stand the two pre-loaded themes.

As all have mentioned, i too have been unsuccessful. I'm going to inquire with my local bb guru and see what he says. i'll make sure i post my findings.

have you looked into unlocking any other vendor themes that may be hiding on the OS?

I downloaded the 4.6.1.83 software package from the BB site and looked around in the blackberry.alx file and it looks like all of the other vendor themes have been removed from it. There is nothing there (that I saw) other than the two themes for sprint/nextel. The other guys names are still there, but no data assocaited with them.

Looks like this got shut down.

How would there be other vendor themes, isn't the 8350 only available from nextel? Meaning there are no other vendors of it.

If you go to the BB website you can download different OS to your computer. After you install it you can go to the file with the themes in it. On most of them (including 4.6.1.83) you will find the names of other carriers listed. You can change the three digit provider code on the other guys themes to "unlock" them for use with your device and provider. Load them up with the desktop manager and you should be good to go.

BlackBerry 101: The Basics of BlackBerry Themes | CrackBerry.com <-follow this link for a more detailed set of instructions.

If you want to see it for yourself, try a different OS and give it a look just so you will know what to look for.

I have to assume that Sprint/Nextel is the only one using this OS and that does make sense as to why nothing else is in there. I was hoping to get lucky and find that the OS was created from a basic Curve template or something like that and would have other themes in there. It just didn't happen.

Well FXB, did you have any success with any themes yet? You seem like you know what you are talking about and i kinda get what you are saying, but i thought u would have to find a theme that is specifically made for 4.6, but nextel is the only carrier that has the 4.6 with the 320x240 resolution for the curve. The bold has a bigger resoultion....

Nope. There are no "hidden" themes in the OS for us to use and the theme building software isn't there for this model yet.

I am looking forward to the ability to change the themes out just as much as the next guy. I am new to this forum and to a berry. This is my first one. The posts here and the 101 help series I linked to earlier have been very helpful.

    Thanks to all.

Yea, I am waiting to. Love the 8350i but I hate the preset themes too. Even the bad themes on the 8350i is better than a great theme on my old "faithful" 7100i though. So I am waiting. BTT

Theme Information for the Nextel Blackberry 8350I

First, there are NO themes available for the 8350I. The theme builder on the Plazmic site does not export themes to the 4.6 OS, so in essence no themes can be built for the 8350I until Plasmic updates their theme builder to support the Blackberry 4.6 OS. Plasmic’s latest version of theme builder is 4.6. However, it only exports to Blackberry OS 4.5. So don’t buy any themes online because they will not work, regardless of what the web-site might claim. Hopefully Plazmic will update there theme builder software soon and we all can get some new themes for the 8350I.
However if I’m wrong someone please correct me.

Ugh I found out the hard way on this.

I just made a theme for a friend's 8350i and tried to install it and realized it was OS 4.6 on there. Too bad! That really stinks for Nextel users. I would go nuts if that was the only theme available to use....
