8330 os 5.0 theme compatibility

i need an official answer to this question

do 8500 themes work on the 8330 running os 5.0?

some say they do and some say they dont

same screen size and os so i would say they do however seems they dont in some cases


which file bundle if any does work on the 8330 then?

do i use the 8500 4.6? 8500 5.0, 8350 4.6, 8350 5.0 or none of them

To your Question-Yes-when a 8330 Stock Precision Zen Theme is properly installed on the 8330-You can use 85XX themes- I have 85XX themes on my device, and they work well...I found the 8500 5.0 work the best....

so why am i getting people saying they cant load the theme?

do they need a precision zen theme installed rather than the old dimension themes?

is 8330 5.0 the same os as the 8500 or is it a lite version?

i have a 8310 annoyingly so cant test

Correct-you need the 8330 Stock Precision Zen Theme,to able to run the 85xx themes...

simply installing this theme will enable them to use 8500 themes

can this theme be downloaded from somewhere or does it need to be built into the os version

Right... using the 85xx theme-it's like life being brought back to your 8330 ..lol and they are much nicer themes...

i have changed my compatibilty in app world now

so if some1 buys one and says they cant load the theme but shows up in applications list what do they need to do?

most 8330 5.0 are on verizon and sprint by looks of it

Install the 8330 Stock Precision Zen Theme-and the 85XX theme will go right into the theme section...

Actually that I don't know...since my 8330 isn't a M- u can Google it and u should be able to find it....

I can't find an official copy, everything says "like" precision. The copies I can find require desktop manager, which I can't use because my netbook runs linux.

This is the net_rim_theme_precision_zen_320x240_b_01 Stock theme needed on 8330's to be able to utilize the 8500 series and the 8350 OS 5 themes.
Be aware, this only works for 8330's running OS 5. OS 4.5 or older don't recognize it.

Thank you so much, DONATION MADE. Dude, you really need to let ALL Boost Mobile Blackberry users in on this one. We have the 8330 w/ OS 5, but can't use half of the themes out there because this is missing. The OTA link scared me at first because its 1.5mb, but I was finally able to install a few 8500 os 5 themes that failed before.
