do 8500 themes work on the 8330 running os 5.0?

some say they do and some say they dont

same screen size and os so i would say they do however seems they dont in some cases


which file bundle if any does work on the 8330 then?

do i use the 8500 4.6? 8500 5.0, 8350 4.6, 8350 5.0 or none of them

To your Question-Yes-when a 8330 Stock Precision Zen Theme is properly installed on the 8330-You can use 85XX themes- I have 85XX themes on my device, and they work well...I found the 8500 5.0 work the best....

Correct-you need the 8330 Stock Precision Zen Theme,to able to run the 85xx themes...

Right... using the 85xx theme-it's like life being brought back to your 8330 ..lol and they are much nicer themes...

i have changed my compatibilty in app world now

so if some1 buys one and says they cant load the theme but shows up in applications list what do they need to do?

most 8330 5.0 are on verizon and sprint by looks of it

Install the 8330 Stock Precision Zen Theme-and the 85XX theme will go right into the theme section...

Actually that I don't know...since my 8330 isn't a M- u can Google it and u should be able to find it....

I can't find an official copy, everything says "like" precision. The copies I can find require desktop manager, which I can't use because my netbook runs linux.

Be aware, this only works for 8330's running OS 5. OS 4.5 or older don't recognize it.

Thank you so much, DONATION MADE. Dude, you really need to let ALL Boost Mobile Blackberry users in on this one. We have the 8330 w/ OS 5, but can't use half of the themes out there because this is missing. The OTA link scared me at first because its 1.5mb, but I was finally able to install a few 8500 os 5 themes that failed before.

I have kinda the reverse question ... can I install and run 8330 5.0 themes on my new 9300 which is the 3G version of the 8500 series ? Same 320x240 resolution.

You can try to install one. It either will work or won't. I'd try OTA if available, if not then BBSAK. Worse case scenario is you'll have to manually uninstall a failed attempt with BBSAK. If you use Desktop Manager it probably won't install.

I have to say thanks also to snaganalf, it's like the 8330 went from cartoons to CG. I have known about loading the precision zen theme for some time but trying to locate a reliable copy has been very difficult. So hats off to you for sharing and opening doors for others less fortunate! You Rock!

Let me tell you I feel the same way lol I seen him claiming he was posting this for months and couldn't find it I can believe it was here since aug. As far as I'm concerened this man is the messiah of crackberry we all owe a great debt to you and just some advice I think he should bring this to an admin and have this become one of thoes yellow higlihted stickies it will get just as much hits as the old boostberry especially for us who were gunna but the new boost blackberry just for this theme I know I'm corny lol but I think it would be a good idea
