Zoom not..well..Zooming

So all of a sudden my bb's camera wont zoom. The trackball works just fine on everything else but when I use the camera it wont zoom in or out. I can push it in to take a picture but that's it...

I tried restarting the phone and still nothing.

Is this covered in my warentee?

Try a battery pull. We had this happen about a week ago and that solved it immediately. I hope it works for you as well.

^^ ditto. Not just a restart, but pull the battery while powered on, hold a minute and replace to reboot.

My gf had this exact issue but a battery fixed it, battery pull seems to be the cure all for my blackberry ailments.

Yes the battery pul is the best and only fix for this...that is straight from RIM...buddy called them while back when his curve did the same thing

I know with some phones, the photo quality affects whether or not you can zoom (I.e. Higher resolution = no zoom, lower res = zoom) not sure if this is the case with BB as I'm using a 8830 with no camera (dammit!), and previously used a 7250. Either that, or a battery pull should fix the problemo ;-) hope that helps!
