I've been reading about Opera Mini for several months now and finally decided to give it a try. MUCH MUCH better than the installed browser on my 8330. Pages load very fast! Once I got used to using Opera, it was a breeze to navigate. I especially like that I can sync my bookmarks between my PC and the BB. I know some users said it used too much memory, but I don't have this problem. I've even switched my PC over to Opera and it's faster there too.

Yea just made the switch myself and I definitely prefer it over the default browser. A definite must-have for the Berry.

I had Opera Mini on an old 7310 but I haven't installed it on my 8330 yet.

When you download a different brower does the BB automaticly use that or does it use the default BB browser??

Defaults to the bb browser, I use opera too. I really like the BOLT browser style its just way to slow to use.

If I could change one thing about OM, it would be to allow copy n' paste. OM is so fast and having this function would make it the perfect browser.

Yes...I love this browser. The ability to scroll up, down and sideways so fast and zoom in to the pages which look just like they look on my PC is great!!

my thoughts exactly. i tried bolt browser, but just wasnt impressed.. but its still in beta, so we'll see what the future holds for it.

I have a bookmark titled "random" and I just edit it and paste in w/e I need to paste! Ahah it'll work until copy and paste comes with the next update

There is a thread on the general Board with links to popular aplications. I habe posted the link below. Scroll down to Opera Mini. You can upload it on your phone OTA. I forget whether or not they send a link to your e-mail address from which you can upload it over the air or if there is already one there to upload it directly onto your BB.

Just installed it. Love it! Only thing is on my 8330 I go to about>browser when I go to change default browser it doesn't give me opera as an option. Did I miss something?

I asked this question last week....you can only get BB as the default browser. I wish it were not so.

Better yet..press #2 to go up, 8 to go down, 4 to go to the left and 6 to scroll to the right. Also, press 5 to zoom in on a section of the page. This is IMHO one of the best features of Opera Mini...makes scrolling fast and easy.

Opera is great, I love using both the bb browser and opera. Opera of course makes pages look great. The best feature of this browser IMO

It is great to have both. For a site I visit though, Opera can not log in. It just keeps bouncing back to the login page for some reason.

Maybe the default settings are not right or there is java I need to enable?

Thanks mellon! I got my first BB (8330) on friday. I was finding the default browser a bit cumbersome, and just happened on your thread. Glad I did!

Downloaded opera mini. Was quickly able to get logged into crackberry.com and respond now to your thread via my BB.

Very cool indeed!
