If your company has a BES server, you should really use that!
And most companies have some policy that does not allow you to forward your work email to a personal email address... I have looked into this at a number of places
Apparently, this all depends on the size and security of your workplace
Most corportations have a corporate BES server that handles all of the email and there is no way to use a BIS alternative!
Accessing company mail through a POP server (which is essentially what BIS does) is usually not available to large corporations, as there are standards in place.
Most companies to not even allow you to forward your work email to an outside email address!! It all depends on the company, apparently
I set mine up through TMO BIS. Can you access your Outlook/email from outside the company using exchange server? If so, I think BIS will work. That's how my work email is set up for my BB.
I suspect you may be out of luck for not going through your work IT. Probably need to set it up on BES or have them grant outside access. You should at least try to set it up through BIS to see if it works.
you should have your company look into Notify Technology - they provide companies with the type of service you are looking for. They have a great tech support too.
