I have a curve 8330. When mass storage mode is turned on and I plug the device into my computer the computer cant read the memory card. When I unplug the device the device shuts down... I have no fricken clue here anyone have any experience with this?

Format the memory card.
Your phone can do this.

As for the random shutdown.

I guess the memory card is just bad. Is there a way to get my pictures off of the device memory onto my pc?

A corrupted file/filesystem on your memory card can cause all the problems you are having, including the shutdowns.

Take the car out of the phone, and the problem should go away. If you have a card reader, you can try using a file/disc checking utility to scan the card. Try to move anything you need off the card, then format the card. You will need to try to format the card in the phone as well even though it was formatted on your computer.
