why download launchers (ie: crackberry/espn)

cant u just add a bookmark to your browser (opera or blackberry browser?)

im a neat freak..dont like clutter on homepage
does launcher show page differently??

I think the main reason for launchers is 50% laziness, 50% stylistic.
Some folks just don't want the extra few keystrokes it takes to do it from native browser, and sometimes its cool to have the little icon. Other than that, they're basically just redundant pieces of code that take up memory, lol.

I have a few and I like to have them as a ease thing. Why open browser and type or scroll to find the bookmark? And they don't take a lot of space.
