    I'm running 4.5.0.77 with no plans to change. Just haven't had any problems and don't see the need. I'd like to have a version on my PC however and currently do not. Anyone know where I can download a trustable copy or can I get my current version to the PC somehow? When I go to BB or Verizon's site, I get prompted to connect my phone and do an internet upgrade.

    i think the CDMA and GSM handsets run different OS's. i dont think you can use that. you can find the proper OS for your device here. it looks like 4.5.0.163 is the most updated one specifically for your 8310.

    Here's the software the OP was looking for

    https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...C9D4DB0C6BBE45

    From there, choose the Curve 8330 in the dropdown menu. The software you're looking for is the second one,

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.101 (AMEA)

    Package Version: 4.5.0.101
    Consisting of:

    * Applications: 4.5.0.77
    * Software Platform: 3.2.0.51
    * File name: 8330uAMEA_PBr4.5.0_rel101_PL3.2.0.51_A4.5.0.77_Fas t_100.exe

    Thank you. Now do I load and execute this file without my phone hooked up or just keep it on my PC as an unrun .exe in the event that I might need it someday? I guess what I'm trying to do here is be proactive so if anything ever arises, I have quick access to my OS again.

    You can just keep as uninstalled on your PC. Burn it to a CD as well.

    Yup, then if you ever need it in case your BB goes wonky or you upgrade and decide it's not for you, just install the exe on your computer and update with loader.exe or DM, though you might have to do a wipe first, but there are a bunch of threads on here that instruct in how to wipe/downgrade/restore a bricked BB, just follow one of those.
