I just installed BBM5 and restarted my BB, but I can't find the BBM icon. It was there before I did the upgrade. I chose show all from the main screen and it still was't there. When I go to my applications it's in the list. Any suggestions?

Check in any folders on the app screen. Docs to go seems to catch some icons...

Thanks for the suggestion... no luck though. My docs are 2 seperate icons Word and Slideshow (I've never used them.) I've never made any folders. The only folder icon I have is for setup.... it's not in there. Any other ideas?

idk if it makes a differance... I have the VZW 8330 4.5.0.77

So you installed bbm 5.0 then did an os upgrade? You may need to reinstall bbm 5.0

Don't know if 5.0 works with that version of os but you can find a thread here on bm 5.0 to find out.

That may be the issue (that BBM5 is not compatable with my os)... I haven't done an os ug ever, I just got my bb about a month ago. I wanted to do some research on ug the os before I attempt it. I'll check out the stickies on os upgrades... Thanks!

BBM 5 doesn't work well with older Curve OS's. You could either upgrade your OS, then reinstall BBM or downgrade BBM.

I wanted to try 5 bc it has the 'barcode' scanner. I know it's not for regular barcodes, but I can't remember what that 2d kind is called.

If you want a good 3rd party barcode reader, I use NeoReader. It works well.

I'll check it out, thanks. do you know if it's compatable with the 8330 os 4.5.0.77? The neoreader site doesn't specify os, just handset model numbers.

    quoted from blackberryrocks

"It is also important to remember that you need a minimum OS of 4.5.0.131, but having the latest OS definitely helps"
