Doing some cleaning and decided to rid my BB of apps I do not use. I restarted and noticed that the apps are no longer in memory, but i still have the icons on my phone...can I not get rid of them, or am I only able to hide them?

That's happened to me a time or two. It shouldn't happen, and I don't know why it sometimes does. The next time you reload your OS, left behind garbage like that will be cleaned out. Until then you can hide them.
