I am looking for the firmware that has threaded text messaging with emoticons and bbm 5.0 where I can scan a barcode to add to bbm

which one am i looking at for the curve 8310?

You should be able to go to blackberry.com and find the latest updates.

v4.5 is the most recent software update for the 8310, though. BBM 5.0 you can get from BBappworld.

Yeah, you will not be able to get the threaded SMS on the 8310 without a third party application.

The 8310 has a 2Mpixel camera and I am not sure if this is capable of barcode scanning.

Mrs. Pete6 has an 8310 and she runs OS 4.5.0.187 (8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel312_PL2.7.0.109_A4.5.0.187_O2_U K.exe) which I believe is the latest OS available.

i had once bought a bb 8320 of the crackberry BST and it had Threaded SMS and BBM 5.0 (i think) Where i could scan One;s barcode

You can get BBM 5.0 on the 8310. Download it from App World.

You cannot get threaded SMS on the 8310 without a third party application.

SMS is a feature of the 5.0 versions of the device OS and there is NO 5.0 for the 8310.

The 8320 that you had with threaded SMS must have had a third party application.
