Your PIN is a number unique to each phone. Go to OPTIONS>STATUS. This number identifies your BB to other BB users so you can instant message on the BB Messenger service. This allows you to instant message other BB users using the data plan on your device. The obvious benefit is that it works off your data plan and not off text messaging.

PIN doesn't come out of Text.

yeah i realize PIN is data, but my plan already includes unlimited text too so either way, its free for me to use (Well besides the monthly extra cost of the BB service.

Yes, you can add someone by either PIN or Email. To do so by PIN, go to the BB messenger then Add a Contact -> Scroll up to "Use Once" -> Press the Menu Key -> Request By PIN. Enter the Pin and Voila!

Yes, you can pin internationally as long as whoever you're talking to has a BB Data Plan.
