Could someone please tell me what this indicator is? It is the a circle or compass looking shape with something that looks like a transmitter or signal strength meter under the wifi indicator. It seems to make my battery die faster.

apps telenav, nav4all, iheart radio, google maps and speedometer

Thanks for the fast replys.. Any ideas if it is transmitting that it kills the battery faster adn how I can I turn it off since every on the phone it says off that I can find and I also pulled the battery and restarted the phone a few times. This is a great phone and got most everything working, just would like the battery to last longer.
    Thanks

It's just an indicator telling you that your GPS location is set to On and not 911 only.

It shouldn't have any effect on your battery.

To find the GPS settings go to Options/Advanced Options/GPS.

I disagree. If you're not running the GPS deck, it's not eating batteries; if you are, it is.
