What can one do with a 8320 without sim card?

What can one do with a 8320 without sim card. Also what can be dome without data plan?

Without a sim card,
Use internet.
Most apps wont work, no native email, no text, no call, no bbm.

Without data plan,
same as above but you can text and call.
No picture message though.
