I currently have the 8330 curve and I see that there are downloads for the new phones, is there something better than the 4.5 for my phone. Is my phone able to download say the new 5.0 software?

If it's the 8330, then there is a version of 5.0 that you can load on your BB. If it's the 8330m, then there is no 5.0 available yet.

You can run 5.0 on the 8330, but must be careful of the RAM, as this OS is a RAM hog on Berries with under 128 MB. I would recommend being judicious in which apps you install and even uninstalling core apps that you won't be using. I reclaimed 3 MB by uninstalling BBM, Tasks and Memopad. I also recommend a battery pull once a day to regain used RAM.
