My curve got slightly wet while I was fishing today. Only the bottom keys got wet (alt row down). Anyone know what I can do to salvage my curve??

There's still power. The battery works fine. I've been letting it dry out (removed battery/cover). The trackball still works, I'm able to move around. The only thing that's not working are the buttons. No response after I hit any of the keys.

Please let me know if there's any thing I can do???

    BTW-I don't have insurance!

    Thanks

Grab a ziploc bag and some uncooked rice. Put the BB and the battery (seperately) into the bag of rice. Seal the bag and give it atleast 24 hours. Remove it, insert battery and pray.

More than 24 hrs in the rice if possible.

Hopefully, it was freshwater not saltwater.

It was freshwater. How much rice should I put in the bag? And is the battery in its own bag, or with the phone?

Yes it really does work. Sometimes.

You can put the battery and phone in the same bag with enough rice to cover both.

Cover the BB in the rice. Just keep the battery OUT of the BB and all is well. 24/48 hours later power it up and hope for the best. Let us know.......

This is your Berry, the more rice the better.

The battery can be in the same bag. Make sure the bag is sealed tightly.
