- Does a curve 8310 support *.3gp and *.3g2 video formats?
I've tried loading a *.3g2, and get the unable to display file message.
Thanks in advance.06-17-08 11:30 PMLike 0 - sunkastSuper BadLecture 10: Getting Started with Videos on your BlackBerry | CrackBerry.com
Let’s start with having a look at the video capabilities of the latest generation of BlackBerry devices. While there is plenty of room for improvement in this area... BlackBerry is off to a flying start considering it was not that long ago that it was not even an imaginable item on a BlackBerry.
MPEG-4 Part 2 (Simple Profile and bvop, including DivX 4)
* File formats - .avi, .3gp, .mp4, .mov
* Video - Up to 320 x 240, up to 800 kbps, up to 30 frames per second
H.263 (Profile 0 & Profile 3)
* File formats - .avi, .3gp, .mp4, .mov
* Video - up to 320 x 240, up to 800 kbps, up to 30 frames per second
Windows Media Video (Simple Profile)
* File formats - .wmv
* Video - Up to 320 x 240, up to 800 kbps, up to 24 frames per second06-17-08 11:35 PMLike 0 - Good info, thank you! Must have missed that.
Well, that would explain the *.3g2 not working...now to give *.3gp a whirl.06-17-08 11:40 PMLike 0 - Something I'd like to note is that I put a 10 minute flash clip converted to .3GP in 320x240 and it plays fine. I tried to put a pretty long movie converted from .AVI to .3GP and it won't play it.
Both were converted with exactly the same settings, is there a file size or length limit?06-18-08 02:06 AMLike 0 - I'm on an 8320 and I get a mixed bag when it comes to playing .3GP stuff, some playsn some doesn't. I'm watching a 96min movie@the moment and its totally fine. Tried to check out the link Sunkast made but it comes up blank on my BB, is it a video or something? Haven't got access to a computer@the moment so can't check myself.
What's the best video converter to use? Not too expensive as I'm pretty skint@the moment.
Cheers, Bx
