I have an 8330 for Verizon that I need to work on Alltel service. I know Verizon has purchased Alltel but my region will not change to Verizon until July and from then it will possibly be another year before the towers are switched. I know there has got to be a way to have this phone internet accessible? Any ideas and hints are greatly appreciated.

Try calling Alltel customer service and see if they will activate the 8330 on their network. If they say no, there really isn't much you can do.

the rep at the alltel store told me that you can activate verizon phones on alltel. The bad thing is that with blackberries you cannot get the data to work, you can make and receive calls and messages but no data.
