Upgrading to 4.6?
Is it possible to upgrade to 4.6 on a Blackberry Curve?? Also, just wondering how to check which OS my curve is on. And if it's not possible to upgrade, which OS is the best to be on?

More and likely 4.6 will not become available for the Curve. Rumor has it 5.0 is a possibilty.

Oh goodness, I am on 4.3.0.124. How do I upgrade? Is it worth upgrading? Will it erase my contacts and what not?

BlackBerry 101: How to Install or Upgrade to a New RIM BlackBerry Operating System (OS) | CrackBerry.com
Lots of good things to be found in the BlackBerry 101 How-To Lecture Series | CrackBerry.com as for the upgrade being worth it, kinda a personal thing over all as long as the OS you upgrade to is stable, you should enjoy it...4.5 will give you HTML email..but not many other improvements over your current OS..just bug fixes.

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

Just make sure to do a backup before hand and at the most you will just need to re-arrange your icons. Follow the link Bla1ze gave. I upgraded mine the second day I had my Blackberry so its fine as long as the instructions are followed.
I find the latest to be quicker than the original OS also comes with Docs To Go so you can view word, excel and powerpoint attachments and files.
The browser is enhanced as well to include a default search bar for google, dictionary and wikipedia. - 08-29-2008, 02:34 AM

Sweeeeet..... It's my understanding that OS 4.6 and up can only be found on next-gen Berry's like the Kickstart and Bold.... I don't understand why Blackberry doesn't have OTA updates like Tmobile Sidekicks do.... That's one thing(the only thing, really) I liked about the Sidekick..... I think if RIM starts doing OTA's, they will take a lot of those Sidekick users(millions of em) and make em Berry users(hello bigger profits).... I'll keep my fingers crossed

Hey Mike,
There is some support for Macintosh, but nothing that includes Applications Loader. You will need access to a Window PC, no way around it.
However, you do have the later generation Curve 8330, that was shipped with v4.3xx and that already has most of the feature improvements included in v4.5xx.
You have the improved Browser, Video camera and voice notes.
The next generation has refinements, not additional features. For example, Browser v4.5 is able to view YouTube video.Last edited by Reed; 08-29-2008 at 10:32 AM.
