I have the latest desktop manager running for my verizon 8330 (version 6) and I just downloaded the latest os (4.3.0.199). After the download completed, I installed it and deleted the vendor.xml file. Now I plug in my curve via usb and it is not being recognized at all.

I have read that a system restore to previous will do the trick... How do I do that? Are there any other options? After I update the os, will the phone be erased completely?

    Thanks.

Did you download that package through Verizon? The only references I can find are the Telus (Canada) package, '.199 which is actualy v4.3.0.124.

You can double check the device compatibility in Windows Control Panel. It has to match 8330 exactly.

The connection problem has occured before. The solution is to re-install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, that will correct the USB connection problem.
