Did this occur while you were updating the os on the phone? If so, search for the 'how to recover a dead berry' post or the 'jl wipe' post and follow those to get your loved berry back to normal!

You need to reboot your computer and reload the operating system on your device again. What it means is you got to options/advanced options/host routing table then hit menu and register it with the network.

Glad to hear you got it going. Sometimes this happens. I just reboot my pc and make sure to not let my screen saver come active.

This seems to be an issue with the 8310. I have the 8320 and my activation is automatic. Could be the carrier as well.

it usually takes my device about 5 minutes or so after an OS upgrade, feels like forever, but eventually it should come to its senses and boot up!
