If you have never upgraded and do not know that much about it, i would wait to do so until you get more comfortable with your device, you can wind up causing alot of problems "bricking" the device is one of them...
Follow the instructions in the sticked threads. You should be ok they are pretty detailed but remember to be patient with the upgrade the new OS takes a while to load.
