I've looked around but could find anything specific. I just got a Curve 8310 and wnat to upgrade the v4.2.2.170 for AT&T. My computer has Desktop Mnager v4.6. Has anyone used that version of DM to upgrade their device OS to the latest? I have a Pearl that I tried upgrading from 4.3 to 4.5 using an older version of DM. I don't want to brick it, but I do want the latest OS. I want to upgrade before I load some apps.

i used 4.6 to upgrade my curve from 4.3 to 4.5 and i no problems. just do everything that you are supposed to do and it won't brick. DO NOT unplug your BB until it is DONE!

This is what I found on Blackberry.com Does it look right? On the 8310 forums on CB, it has the latest OS of Newest 8310 OS: v4.5.0.163 (Multilanguage) but when you open it it has East Asia. Think I should download the one below from BB.com?

I just downloaded the one from my Carrier, but lots of people have downloaded the .163 and had a lot of success!

One more thing, after I install v4.5, will that remove the IT Policy, or do i have to use JL commander? I can't even get my PC and DM to recognize my Curve. It asks for a password, I type it and nothing, wrong password. I am typing it correctly. I hate this phone already. The IT policy has SMS barred.
