I have a Sprint Curve 8330m and run OS 4.5.0.131. Its a pretty steady OS I'd say, other than the occasional memory leak which is fixed by a quick battery pull. The battery life could also be better.. Anyways I went to update to .175 and read several horror stories of ringers not working, profiles crashing, etc. and was wondering if I should give 4.5.0.186 a try and how easy it would be to switch back to .131 if it doesn't work out. I've never updated my OS either, so any pointers would be much appreciated.. Thanks!

Same process in switching back to the older OS. You'll no it inside out once you do it once. Its fairly easy. Here is a link of how to install a different OS. i
