I am a wireless consultant at verizon wireless. Just a few days ago, I sold a pink blackberry curve 8330 to a customer. They come back today because they had an issue which I have never seen before in my life. The screen is still existant, time, date, and all, but there is no icons! Because she is under her 30 days, yes I can still swap out the phone for her if she had the original upc on the box, which she had already cut out for rebate. Replacing her phone would cost her a $50 restocking fee, so I am trying to avoid that by trying to help her solve the issue. Is there any way at all that I can possibly solve this problem? because there are no icons, I was not able to access anything at all on the phone; couldn't get to the options menu or anything of that sort, only to the call logs by hitting the call button. Please help me out as much as you can if you can. Thank you Crackberry members.
Have you tried to click the blackberry symbol and get to switch applications?
try to just restore with desktop update
but she'll have to lose her contacts and stuff on it
:/
I am sure you have pulled the battery with the phone on. I would hit the blackberry btton, then again to see if the items are hidden.. If not reinstalling the os is the only option i can think of. No icons at all??????
what's weird is that after i resinstalled the software, the icons on the front didn't show but the icons in the main screen does after hitting the blackberry key.
