    ive noticed that when i have edge - i cant get internet or email, but when i have EDGE - the internet works perfectly. maybe signal strength?? just a shot in the dark...

    uma = no data connection present
    UMA= data connection present

    If you don't have BIS, most likely it will be lowercase.

    Most of you have BIS thats why its UMA!
    if you didnt have BIS, it will be uma.

    If you have BIS and you have uma, you need to contact your service provider.

    UMA means voice and data are available, uma mean voice only, no data connection.

    If you get UMA, you have the VoIP and data too. That trumps the rest of the World, again.

    No data as to the BIS..but if you have wifi then would you still be able to go online with uma ( not UMA )

    I always had UMA until the other day... now I am only getting uma. I haven't changed my plan or anything but now I cannot access Data while connected to my at home Wi-Fi.
