Not that I've found. Is it proving to be a problem, or you just hate seeing it? It's there to help you, in case you've been away from your device (not that you should EVER be away from your BlackBerry - LOL)
It's simple - stop giving away your phone number ;-)
Just kidding... anyway, I don't get phone calls so I'm not sure if its even possible to do this. I just checked a few options here and there and I don't see a "Turn me off" indicator for that icon.
On a similar but unrelated note, I wonder how you can use the TTY feature on the phone. I don't even have a voice plan so it's probably dangerous to try, hahah!
