i recently have been having a hard time selecting stuff with the rolling ball on my curve. it can move up, down, left, right. but when i try selecting stuff to open, it doesnt work. i have to press firmly on the ball to get it to open up apps or folders. help

Otherwise your trackball needs cleaning..

You probably have grit inside. Maybe it's sticky. Take alcohol on a Q-tip and roll the trackball with the Q-tip. Make sure the Q-tip is only dampened with the alcohol and not wet. There is a thread on one of the forums on how to take out your trackball and clean it.
