I am new to BB. I am trying to SETUP EMAIL using the SETUP WIZARD in the BB 8300. I use an POP3 account from another provider for my emails. HOWEVER, the SETUP WIZARD ONLY shows two options: "I want to use a work email acct w/ bb...." and the "SKIP" options. No other options are available in my setup, whatever I do.

Online manuals @ bb.com show a third option in this menu: "I want to create or add a new e-mail account"...

But my phone DOES NOT SHOW THAT OPTION! Instructions also show that I can select the "email setup" option from the APPLICATION SCREEN, but my phone DOES NOT INCLUDE THIS ICON?

What can I do to SETUP MY EMAIL????

It sounds like you dont have a BlackBerry plan... call you're provider and add it... as soon as they add the plan to your phone the "personal email account setup" icon will appear.

I received a TEXT MESSAGE from BB saying: "Your handheld has been registered w/ the wireless network".

But i guess my provider did not setup my account up correctly????
