...and I got an error msg. I ended up just reinstalling the backed up OS. However some settings are now different. The biggest issue is that I am no longer getting any notifications when I get my gmail emails. Thoughts?

    Thx in advance.

What error msg did you get?

Did you also resend your service books, and register the device on the network

Options, advanced, host routing table, menu key, register (for the HRT)

Service books, find the manage internet email icon and follow the steps thru to sending the books.

Thx for the quick reply. I don't remember the actual error msg.

Ok I looked at the things u mentioned and didn't see a "manage internet icon".

All the existing service books have ck marks next to them as well.

    Next....

Um, usually, on most themes, its a little envelope with a lil gear in front,

OR, you can log onto AT&T bis, (where you manage your email online from there) and send them from the site.

They may well have checks next to them, however, they may need to be refreshed..

On my desktop the icon is called Personal E-mail Setup.

Yeh, it may be labeled different for different carriers? Mine is manage internet email... I have seen others call it something diff too.

I'm sorry I misunderstood. I do have an icon to manage connections. When I open it I see "turn all connections off" "mobile network" "bluetooth" etc.

I don't see an option to send the books.

Nope, not manage connections, something in the lines of internet email, it may be personal, or manage, manage internet emails, or as spinny says, Personal Email set up.

Or, just use the link I posted to do it from the website on your PC

Like Rachel says, the icon looks like an envelope with a little gear in front of it; it might also have a red arrow. From there you log in with your BIS user I'd and password, and from there one of the selections is service books.

I downloaded the 4.5 to my desktop. Then did the upgrde following the indtsal wizard without a hitch. The 4.5 was from the AT T site

The only thing I can think of was that I had an older version of the Download Manager. I upgraded to 4.6 this morning and am now dl-ing the upgrade. We'll see.

    Thx,
