So I have a Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8330. I am going to be traveling to London and Europe within a few days and I wanted to take my BlackBerry to use while I am over there.

My question is, can I use a UK SIM card while I am in London? I am trying to figure out if my particular phone has to be unlocked (which I have heard is not possible with my phone). Anyone who can help me or tell me if a simple SIM card will work in my phone I would appreciate it!

    Thanks

The 8330 doesn't use a SIM at all. It is identified to any system by ESN or MEID. You would need an 8830, 9630, or 9650 to use a SIM card on GSM networks overseas.

That's right, you need a GSM network to use it abroad because 8330 are CDMA,
