What kind of files, and how many?

YOu may want to invest in a card first and foremost for your pics, ringtones, photos, that way the device memory wont get used, and they will be stored on the media card...

but is the media card the memory card? because i have one inside the phone and its 4gb

Same thing, do you have mass media turned on? Options > Media Card > Mass storage mode "on"

IT SAYS MEDIA CARD cannot be read. verify that the memory card is formatted o_O btw thanks for theh elp guys
